Our 19 Point Safety Checklist


Door/Doors:

  • Inspect and adjust all vertical and horizontal tracks for alignment
  • Inspect door for proper alignment in tracks and opening
  • Inspect and lubricate springs, tracks, rollers, bearings and pulleys
  • Tighten all hinges and brackets
  • Inspect cables for wear and rust, lubricate ends
  • Inspect sections for cracks and flatness
  • Inspect weather seal on bottom, top and sides of door/opening
  • Run door for proper operation


Opener/Openers:

  • Remove the cover and inspect, adjust, and lubricate the gears and belts
  • Check wall button for proper operation
  • Check remotes and replace batteries
  • Check wireless keypads and replace batteries
  • Tighten chain/belt
  • Inspect and tighten rail and j-arm
  • Lubricate sprockets, gears and rails
  • Check all connections and wiring

"We had an excellent experience with Keene Door!!! One of our garage door extension springs had snapped during the night so we found out first thing in the morning that one of our vehicles was trapped inside the garage. The polite and friendly woman on the phone got a couple of guys out quickly and they replaced the springs.

I was concerned with the other door's springs breaking so I asked them to check it out. They didn't try to upsell me and told me those springs had plenty of life left in them. They did replace a couple of the rusted brackets and rollers on the second door, so we would get even more life out of our old doors. They installed safety cable through the springs on both doors and explained how dangerous it was to not have them installed.

Both dudes were very professional, friendly, respectful of our house, and worked fast. They sent a bill in the mail and took a credit card over the phone, which made everything super-easy. Their main concern was getting us back to normal as fast as possible. We will definitely use them again, whether for a repair or for new doors!!!"
